The Chancellor's Service Award is a selective award honoring graduating undergraduate students who have made significant contributions to UCLA and/or the surrounding Los Angeles community through a sustained record of outstanding leadership and service. The recipients of this award are selected by a panel of service-minded UCLA staff members and are distinguished by the blue and gold fourragère, which is worn during the Commencement ceremony.
The application for the 2016-2017 eligibility period is now available.
This award was developed to give recognition at graduation to those students who throughout their years at UCLA have donated their time and energy to making a positive difference at UCLA and in the community. In order to be honored a graduating student must have established a sustained record of commitment to leadership and service through his or her outstanding contributions.
The recipients of this award are distinguished by the blue and gold fourragère, which is worn during the Commencement ceremony. They are also honored by having their names listed in a special section of the Commencement program. Other opportunities associated with receiving the Chancellor's Service Award are available on an annual basis.
